San Carlos Seminary is the official seminary of the Archdiocese of Manila. It accepts not only seminarians for the Archdiocese of Manila but also seminarians for other dioceses, especially for the suffragan dioceses of Manila.
San Carlos Seminary has three departments: Juniorate, Philosophy, and Theology.
The Juniorate Department is composed of two-year levels: the Formation Year (those who graduated from the secondary level outside the minor seminary system) and Philosophy 1 (those who finished the Formation Year and those who graduated from the minor seminary).
